| Theresa “Terry” Boulet, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, singer, songwriter, performer, and worshiper, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 11, 2013. She was 82 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Boulet. She is survived by her three children, Charlette Eggenberg and her husband, Bill, Dottie Hawkins and her husband, Theron, and Chuck Boulet and his wife, Julee, all of Bakersfield; and her siblings, Rilton Ray Courvell and wife, Charlie, Priscilla Million, and Billy Moreaux and wife, Linda. Additional family members include 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Terry was a loving, caring, godly woman who touched the lives of so many. All who knew her knew her as “Granny Boo.” She was a songbird from an early age, sharing her songs with everyone she met. Terry always had a song in her heart and a smile on her face. She cherished each and every one of her family members and made a great impact upon all of their lives. She will be remembered for her fabulous “Cajun” cooking and her hospitality for entertaining. Later in life, she and Dad formed a band and toured Southern California sharing their love of Cajun music, him playing the French accordion with her as the French lead singer.
Honorable mention is made to grandchildren, Michelle and William, who took her into their home and lovingly and with great dedication cared for her since the time of her stroke, 4˝ years ago. Honorable mention again is made to her darling daughter, Yvonne, a.k.a. “Dottie,” who spent countless hours bringing joy, healing, and making beautiful memories.
We all look forward to the day that we are reunited with her in Heaven. No services will be held.
